CNS is the top selling business unit in terms of domestic performance and has the richest in-house and in-licensing pipeline for the next five years. With a team of twelve people and a strong product management team, CNS enjoys the services of experts in the field and a personnel with long experience in multinational firms.

Following the launches of Memantine (ALMERZAC) and Levetiracetam (KEPRICET), the business unit has the strongest portfolio of products covering several therapeutic areas, from bipolar depression, epilepsy and parkinson to alzheimer and treatment of mild disorders.

The business unit’s strategy is based on strong relationships with the research and academic community and is now in the phase of implementing an ambitious development plan for the next decade.

Recent & Forthcoming Developments

  • Five (5) months after its launch, the generic version of Memantine (ALMERZAC) has hit record growth numbers and has become the second best selling generic in Greece.

  • Exports activities on CNS have grown substantially in 2016 as licenses in third countries have matured and products like Risperidone are widening the forecasted development.

  • In September 2016 Pharmazac will finalise its launch plan of six (6) patent expiring molecules. Intensive activity on products and generic variations of Pregabalin, Aripiprazole, Quetiapine XR, Rasagiline as well as new Food Supplements will generate additional turnover in the already largest pharma unit of Pharmazac.
